If Christ comes back today, are you ready? Am I ready? Jesus tells about His return in this Bible Study Lesson from Matthew 24:26-35. In the first part, we discovered how Jesus told the future but now He tells the second part.
In the Book of Matthew Jesus clearly explains what to look for. He warns to ignore the many false prophets we’ll encounter.
Let’s keep watchful. We can renew our faith in Him and be ready when He returns.
Signs of the Second Coming of Christ – Jesus Tells about His Return
“But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.
And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. – Matthew 24:29-31 NASB
The Second Coming As Told By Christ in Matthew
During my time on earth, I have seen and heard many so-called “prophets” proclaiming to be the Messiah. But in the end, all failed the test.
You will no doubt see the same but Jesus says to ignore these false teachers who claim to be Him.
Falling Away from Christianity
When Christians are being persecuted, it is very tempting to throw away loyalty. It’s even easier to be fooled by the false prophets Jesus spoke of.
The day of the Lord will be obvious as stated in Mark. We won’t need to be told that He has come.
“all the tribes of the earth will mourn” – Mark 13:26
All Will Believe
The nations of the earth will mourn on that day. The people who refused up till now to believe in Christ as Savior will now believe. But, it will be too late for them.
This creates a sad time for everyone, including Christians who didn’t tell others about Christ.
