Revelation 8:6-7

Sounding the Seven Trumpets | First Trumpet

8:6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared to sound them.

7 The first angel sounded his trumpet, and there came hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was hurled down upon the earth.

A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

This is the Word of the Lord ... It is meant to change the way that we think, and the way that we live.

Commentary by Bob Pardue

The First Trumpet of Revelation

There are three reasons for the angels making the trumpet announcements in Revelation ...

First is in order to warn that judgment is a reality and is certainly coming.

The second reason is to muster all the forces of good and evil to do battle with one another.

The third trumpet sounding is to announce the coming of the Messiah and King, Jesus Christ.
