Mark 13:32-37
Remaining
Watchful - Did Jesus Know the Time of His
Return?
13:32
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the
angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
33
Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that
time will come.
34
It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and
puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned
task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
35
"Therefore keep watch because you do not know when
the owner of the house will come backwhether
in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster
crows, or at dawn.
36
If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you
sleeping.
37
What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!'
"

is the Word of the Lord ... It is meant to
change the way that we think, and the way that
we live.

The Time is
Coming - Be Watchful
You know, when I read this
Scripture I was really puzzled!
I thought, "Maybe Jesus was
just telling his disciples that he didn't know
because God had promised that no man would know the
time."
But, as I read deeper, I
discovered that maybe Jesus really didn't
know the day and time which seemed strange to
me.
When Jesus came to earth, he
came as a man in order to experience life as a
human with all its frailties. And, as a fellow
human, Christ didn't know everything that God knew
which confirmed his part in our
humanity.
The time will come and Jesus
will return so He is telling us to be alert and
watchful. The deeds we do today (or this very
minute) could be our last chance so let's give our
hearts and souls to God.
