Mark 16:9-11
Jesus
Appears to Mary Magdalene
( Easter Story
)
16:9
When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week,
he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he
had driven seven demons.
10
She went and told those who had been with him and
who were mourning and weeping.
11
When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she
had seen him, they did not believe
it.

is the Word of the Lord ... It is meant to
change the way that we think, and the way that
we live.

Mary Magdalene sees the
Crucified Christ
Some Bible scholars believe
that the "seven demons" Jesus drove from Mary
Magdalene may have been some form of mental
illness.
Think of how difficult it
would be for us to believe that a person had
come back from the dead, even if it was told to us
by a reliable witness!
Mary Magdalene, who may not
have been all that credible, was telling a story
which could have been shrugged off by the disciples
as a figment of her imagination.
In present day, even with the
Holy Scripture quoted by multiple witnesses, we
sometimes have trouble believing.
So enters the word faith. Let
faith lead your heart and your mind and, with the
Holy Spirit leading you, believing in Christ is not
as difficult as you once thought.
