Mark
14:12-16
Disciples
Prepare for the
Passover
14:12
On the first day of the Feast of
Unleavened Bread, when it was
customary to sacrifice the
Passover lamb, Jesus' disciples
asked him, "Where do you want us
to go and make preparations for
you to eat the Passover?"
13
So he sent two of his disciples,
telling them, "Go into the city,
and a man carrying a jar of water
will meet you. Follow him.
14
Say to the owner of the house he
enters, 'The Teacher asks: Where
is my guest room, where I may eat
the Passover with my disciples?'
15
He will show you a large upper
room, furnished and ready. Make
preparations for us there."
16
The disciples left, went into the
city and found things just as
Jesus had told them. So they
prepared the
Passover.

The
12 Disciples make Preparation for
the Last Supper
Jesus sent
Peter and John (Luke 22:8) into
town to prepare for the Passover.
Jewish
customs were very strict in the
way food was prepared so the two
disciples would have set the
table, prepared the Passover lamb
and bought unleavened bread among
other food and drink.
This
Passover would become known as
"The Last Supper."
In the days
to come we will be covering the
rest of the events leading up to
Easter Sunday; the day Jesus rose
from the tomb.
Please read
the upcoming Easter passages to
better understand what Jesus went
through to save you and I from
our sins.
