Ecclesiastes 7:7
Money
Talks and Bribes do Too!
7:7
Extortion turns a wise man into a fool,
and a bribe corrupts the
heart.
This
is the Word of the Lord - It is meant to change the
way we think, and the way we live.

Does Money Talk
?
Do you really believe that
money talks? Many would say yes and that every
person has his or her price. We
have seen on the evening news many cases of
extortion and bribes to US senators, judges,
businesspeople, witnesses to crime, and to other
people in every part of our society.
Cloudy
Judgment
Solomon says that a person
who takes a bribe is a fool no matter how smart she
thought she was when accepting the payoff.
Money or bribes can cloud
judgment and are meant to hurt those who would
otherwise tell the truth. In addition, a bribe of
money or gifts gives the illusion that doing the
wrong thing has great rewards.
But, as Solomon stated in
Ecclesiastes; "Extortion turns a wise man into a
fool".
Whether we are rich or poor
there is one thing we can absolutely have in this
life and it is integrity. Don't compromise yours.
If you and I will only resist the temptation of
some of the "rewards" here on earth our reward will
be even greater in heaven. The choice is
ours.
