Patience and Pride and Success

You know, I've been in business for myself for more than half of my life. I have failed more times than I have been successful but the keys to making a business work is good management, perseverance, and patience. And, don't forget sweat.

Was I Just Lucky?

There is an old saying about luck. It goes something like; "The more I sweat, the luckier I get."

The Importance of Patience

All these things are important for financial success but Solomon is pointing out that patience is more important than pride.

How to Achieve

Anyone with a dream can start a project but those who succeed are willing to dig in for long, hard campaigns instead of instant gratification. Many times in this "I want it now" generation. The latter is a major reason many businesses and projects fail.

God as Your Guide

Be patient, pray for guidance from God, have faith, and you will have a better chance of reaching your goals in life.

With that said, financial goals are important factors in making a living for your family but even more important are your spiritual goals. Sometimes I just don't feel like reading and studying my Bible in the morning (which is one reason I write these commentaries) but once I do, there is almost always a life lesson for me that day.

If you make a goal to study your Bible on a regular basis, then pray for yourself and others, it's amazing what can happen! I hope you success in your financial and your spiritual life.
