Ecclesiastes
2:24-26
Work
without Meaning
-
24
A man can do nothing better than to eat
and drink and find satisfaction in his
work.
This too, I see,
is from the hand of God,
25
for without him, who can eat or find
enjoyment?
26
To the man who pleases him, God gives
wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to
the sinner he gives the task of gathering
and storing up wealth to hand it over to
the one who pleases God.
This too is
meaningless, a chasing after the
wind.
This
is the Word of the Lord ... It is meant to
change the way that we think, and the way
that we live.

Enjoy the Work
God Gifted You to do
Each day we have on
this earth is a gift from God.
Lee Travino, a
famous professional golfer, was once asked
how he was doing that day and Lee replied,
"I'm above the ground."
Well, each morning
when we wake up should remind us that some
people on this earth did not
awake.
Not to say that we
should quit our jobs and live as if there
is no tomorrow but we should take each day
we have, thank God for giving it to us,
and live it with enjoyment God gives
instead of just going to work to
accumulate more money or
possessions.
Solomon was said to
be the wisest man in the Bible and he
gives an excellent example for us to
follow here.
Seize the
day!!
